About

Chris offers a bit of space in a maximalist world.

Ever the optimist, Chris looks for light in even the darkest of places. She sees the world, and her work, this way. This perspective isn’t a result of a life full of ease, but rather an acquired awareness due to the darkness she has had to traverse. She believes that light is more visible, and exponentially more powerful, once the eyes have adjusted to the dark. This is where Chris thrives, the space between the light and the dark.

Chris is a perpetual learner, thus, her work is perpetually evolving. She doesn’t adhere to a particular style and her medium of choice shifts with the intent of the work. Following her own flow, themes emerge within her work as they are reflected in her personal life. Her current works explore the complexities of the contemporary family, light as flow, and quantum theory.

Acrylic, High-flow acrylic, watercolor, and ink often make an appearance on her canvas, but she has been known to incorporate other mixed-media items as well.

Chris is an emerging artist living in Charleston, South Carolina. Subscribe for her latest creative endeavors.
